Mansfield and District Scuba Diving Club is a friendly sub aqua diving club based in the East Midlands. The club is affiliated to the SAA (Sub Aqua Association), and has several Open Water Instructors, Club Instructors, Dive Supervisors and qualified Rescue Divers, along with an assortment of qualifications among our members.
The club is dedicated to the training of both newcomers and experienced divers.
We are now using the pool at Worksop Leisure Centre, Valley Road, Worksop S81 7EN for our training sessions. We’ll be there the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month and we have access from 8.45pm til 10pm.
Between them our members have dived all over the world, in all conditions, and diver safety is paramount. For this reason the club encourages continuous improvement through training and regular diving both inland and at sea. The instructors in the club are passionate about training divers, not for profit (they don’t get paid!), but because they love our club and wish to see it grow, and because training new divers is fun!
I joined this club as a young woman, some thirty plus years ago, and received excellent training and opportunities to dive in the UK and abroad. It also provided me with knowledge and skills to progress as a diver and as a result I have had some fabulous adventures and continue to do so, but now only in warmer climes! Over the years I made good friends and enjoyed the club’s social activities too. I recommend it highly.
Thank you to all four dive instructors, Cherie, Dennis, Chris and Charlie who gave up a Sunday to present a full one day Nitrox course to four divers of which I was one. The course was presented in a very professional and informative manner whilst still containing some light hearted and funny moments which helped to break up what I believed to be a quite intense science related diving course. It is very easy these days to give negative feedback but not this time. It is a breath of fresh air (pardon the diving pun) to be among people who give up there valuable free time to regularly train up new divers. Thanks to you all. You are a credit to the club and to the SAA.

Club Diver.
A wonderful group of people who are keen to enable all existing divers, regardless of their qualification body, to develop their skills. Regular training means new members can become divers at affordable prices. A great club to be a part of.
